Lash Extensions - FAQ

BEFORE YOUR LASH APPOINTMENT

No coffee or energy drinks 4 hours before your appointment as caffeine can cause your eyelids to flutter involuntarily.

Please come to your appointment eye makeup free, especially waterproof mascara (as this coats the natural lashes and can prevent the glue from bonding correctly) We would like to spend more time applying your lashes not removing your makeup.

Please do bring any pics in with you of looks that you like.

Please remove your contact lenses before your appointment, it is not recommended to have lash extensions applied while wearing contact lenses.

Please be on time for your appointment to avoid disappointment. Our appointments are based on time and are strictly adhered to, less time equals less time to apply lashes. If you are more than 15 mins late for your appointment, we may not be able to accommodate you.

Please come alone to your appointment.

 AFTER YOUR LASH APPOINTMENT

It is important that you follow all aftercare instructions, this will help your beautiful lash extensions last as long as possible. Please be mindful that lash extension longevity varies from person to person. Your natural lashes are on a shedding cycle and your extensions will gradually fall out as your natural lashes shed.

Avoid getting your lashes wet for 24hours after application.

Avoid steam and saunas.

Do not use mascara over your lash extensions, or tint or perm your natural lashes with extensions on.

Avoid using products with oil around the eye area.

Do not pick or rub your extensions/eyes.

Wash your lashes every 2-3 days (everyday if you wear makeup) with an eyelash extension approved cleanser. We recommend LASH GAME FOAMING LASH CLEANSER sold instore. Dry lashes off with a hairdryer on cool setting or handheld fan and brush through with your lash brush.

Please avoid using cotton buds/wool around your eyes as the fibers tend to get stuck in your lash extensions. Use the lash brush provided to clean your lashes.

Please let us know if you think you may be having an allergic reaction or are experience any discomfort as you shouldn’t be able to feal your new lashes and they should be completely comfortable to wear.

If you experience an abnormal amount of lash loss within the first 7 days of application, please get in touch as soon as possible. Sometimes these things happen, and we are more than happy to help.

FAQ LASHES

What are eyelash extensions?

Lash extensions are semi-permanent synthetic fiber that are expertly attached one by one to your natural lashes. Resulting in longer thicker looking lashes that are customized to suit your eye shape and desired look.

How long will my lash extensions last?

Lash extensions longevity varies from person to person, with correct aftercare your lashes can last up to 4 weeks. Infills are needed to keep lashes lush anywhere from 2-4 weeks depending on your natural lash cycle.

What is the difference between classic and volume extensions?
Classic lashes are applied at a 1:1 ratio, 1 extension weighing .15 or .10 is applied to one natural lash. Resulting in a natural looking set.
Volume extensions are applied using hand made fans made up of 4-8 super light (0.05,0.06 or 0.07) extensions applied to one natural lash. Resulting in a fluffy full set from natural looking to full volume.

How long does the procedure take?

Anywhere from 75mins – 2 hours depending on the set you have chosen. The longer the appointment means the fuller the lashes will be

How do I look after my lash extensions?

Please follow the aftercare instructions given to you at the end of your appointment, you can find our aftercare HERE

Can Lash extensions cause damage to my natural lashes?

Yes and no, if lash extensions are applied correctly and looked after properly they will cause no damage to your natural lashes at all, in fact we have clients who wear lashes continually with no breaks and have zero damage to their natural lashes. If however you have had a bad application of lash extensions (to long/heavy for natural lashes lots of glue and lashes glued together) or rubbed and picked at your lashes then they can cause damage. We have had clients come in with bad application from elsewhere and damaged natural lashes this makes us so sad to see but unfortunately can happen. We recommend using Revitalash sold instore to grow your natural lashes back to optimum health.

How can lash extensions be removed?

If you would like to remove your lash extensions, you can book in for a lash removal. We use a gentle gel-based remover that breaks down the glue enabling us to remove the lashes safely without damage to your natural lashes. Please do not pick your lashes off, removal is inexpensive and only takes 15-20mins.
