Waxing - FAQ

BEFORE YOUR WAXING APPOINTMENT

Let your hair grow out at least 1cm – this insures the most effective treatment.

Worried about pain? You can take a Panadol 1-2 hours before your appointment. Don’t worry its never as bad as you think!

AFTER YOUR WAXING APPOINTMENT

Wear cotton clothing to allow your skin to breath.

​

Don’t shave between waxes as it messes with the hair growth cycle.

​

Start exfoliation at least 3 days after your wax, this helps to avoid ingrown hairs.

Come back for your next wax in 4-6 weeks.

Wait 24 hours before

Applying any makeup, deodorant, or moisturiser.

​

Exercise, including swimming.

​

Going in the sun/sunbed as skin will increase in sensitivity

How often should I get waxed?

Everyone has a different hair growth cycle, but most people find that every 4-6 weeks is the perfect time to get your waxing done again.

How long should my hair be hair be?

At least 1cm in length for Brazilian and underarms, with legs/thighs the longer the hair the better the result so let the hairs grow out 2-4 weeks if you can.

 

Will it be painful?

Out therapists are trained to use waxing techniques that make it as comfortable as possible, there may still be a little bit of discomfort while waxing some areas. If you ae worried about pain and sensitivity you can take a Panadol 1-2 hours before your appointment.

I am pregnant, can I still get waxing?

Yes absolutely, we get a lot of pregnant women in for their waxing even up to one week before there due date

 

Do I need to trim before a Brazilian?

No, you don’t have to, but you can if you would prefer. Please make sure that you don’t trim the hairs to short as this will result in a subpar wax, if you are unsure leave it to us, we are more that happy to trim for you
